My cousin Esther was born in 1932, to Isaac and Rebecca Arav, in Havana, Cuba. She had three sisters: Sara, Alegre and Fanny.

She married Abraham Brik in Havana. They had two children: Bertha (Bea) and Isaac.

In 1961, the Brik family emigrated from Cuba to the United States. They settled in Brooklyn, New York.
